Mammoth 2010

Fishing, fishing, fishing...

Kev caught the first fish.

Dinner the first night at the Mogul, where Bobby used to work when he lived in Mammoth.

Kev catching another one... he was amazing whether from the shore or from the boat.

Yeah! Chad's turn!

Woo Hoo!

My hero

Dinner at Burgers... OMGsh!

Apples to Apples... so funny!

Funniest game ever!

We fished every day! Kev was hiding in his own little cove just pulling in the fish!

Kev loved kayaking!

Chad and Mom kayaking Twin Lakes

Heaven...

Steaks and games with the Stoerck's and Pennock's.

Time for fishing... Daylight's burning!

Carrie, Criss, and Anne at Mammothfest. Waiting to see Train!

Tom & Annie, John & Carrie, Bobby & Criss
The kids are all up front!

Train concert so amazing!
Especially in the mountain setting!

From Kelsey's camera!
This was our first time back to Mammoth in probably 10 years. So special to Bobby since he used to live there. Amazing vacation. We can't wait to go back. Kevin said it was better than Hawaii. Wow! I think it's because he caught the most fish!

Chamber Singer Reunion!

Mr. Kessler... the show choir director from 1975 - 1985.
So amazing to see him again.

Katy Mayne... She was in the group before me, but I can
remember watching her perform and wishing I was on stage!
She's now an accomplished musician/composer.

The highlight of the night was after the group photo, Mr. Kessler
wanted a photo that looked like he was directing us.
He started directing "The Lord Bless You and Keep You,"
and we all sang under his direction. It was the most touching
moment of the night, and that song was perfect because it
was the one song all ten years of show choir had in common.

Doug and Diane
Doug and I have remained close over the years.
Diane was our alto section leader. Love them both.

Cary... my new bff! He was in the group a few years before me.
What a pleasure to meet him.

Chamber Singers from the class of '85... and me:)

Another highlight of the evening. I was excited to be in charge of the fashion show that night, highlighting costumes we wore in the 70s and 80s! With each costume, I told a story of something that happened that year. Show choir kids from Brea High School modeled our old costumes.

Come on Doug...

Help me sing "Turning, Turning" like we did when we performed at the prison!

Charisse modeling an 80's dress!

Bobby watching the show! I love this!

This story was when Cary offered to be Nia's partner back in 1976 and our choreographer announced, "I'm not looking for a circus act!"

What a joy to see Mr. Kessler laughing at my jokes!

The models and I after the fashion show!

I had looked forward to this reunion for such a long time! Ten years worth of Chamber Singers from 1975 - 1985! Having Mr. Kessler come as the guest of honor was such a pleasure. I loved being on the committee and meeting singers from years after me. This night was different than a regular high school reunion. This evening was reserved for those of us who had spent every waking moment together in high school rehearsing, performing, and just hanging out. Having that common bond made the night so special.

*sigh*

One of many committee meetings.
We all agreed there will be more:)
