Criss' Birthday

Fun birthday started out with a Pumpkin Spice Latte
and a trip to Disneyland with my friend Tana.
Look at the score. I love this ride and I'm so bad at it.

Haunted Mansion was totally decked out for Halloween.

Awww. He's so cute.

For the evening, we went to dinner at Chomp in Fullerton.
Had a little sushi and sashimi for an appetizer!
Criss and Anne celebrating together.
Her birthday is the 31st.

Love sitting at the Teppanaki grill where they throw food at you!

Shrimp, chicken, ribs, veggies, rice, yum, yum, yum!

The kids' favorite part!

Awww!

Full and happy!

Our Angel Season!

This was a totally fun game. Ronnie joined us too!

Cori, Criss, and Chelse... the "C" girls! Poor guy a few rows back got bopped pretty hard by Kev's beach ball!

Fun times!

Chelse and Auntie Criss

Awww! I love this! A little slice of heaven with my own Angel.

Chad and Auntie Cori at a Yankee playoff game.
Chad got out of school early to witness this awesome win!

Our dear friend...

Last home game of the season.

Kayaking

Just my hobby. Love hanging out in the Back Bay.
Sometimes I bring the boys if it's a day off of school.
And sometimes I bring Bobby...
...if it's our 19th Anniversary!
But mostly I bring my friend Tana. She's my kayaking buddy.
So here's the routine. Kayak from the Back Bay to Balboa Island, park the boats, get an ice cream and shop a little, then kayak back hoping our treasures don't get soaked!

Yosemite!

A gorgeous view of Glacier Point

Just out of the tunnel, we had to take the traditional Yosemite pic
of El Capitan and Half Dome!

Kevin and Chad in front of Yosemite Falls.
You can tell we were there in late July since the falls are so slow!

Kev loved Yosemite Falls so much!

Fishing at Bass Lake. Looks like a BIG one!

Bobby helping Kev figure it out!

We decided to stay at the Ahwahnee Hotel for one night.
Gotta do it once in a lifetime!

You can't even describe the dining room at the Ahwahnee.
There's no way to capture it in a photo. It's absolutely gorgeous.

Making the hike up to Nevada Falls

Sheesh! Almost there!

Yep. We made it!

Going down was an adventure too! Such a warm day!

Back at the house, we finished our puzzle.

The next day we did Glacier Point.

Took a hike our last day there in a gorgeous meadow along El Capitan.

Another part of the meadow. It was deserted. Loved it!
In July we went to Yosemite with Bobby as our trusty leader. Our neighbor has a home in Oakhurst, and invited us to stay there for 10 days. We spent five days actually in Yosemite. What a beautiful, relaxing vacation! We booked one night at the Ahwahnee Hotel, and had a great time there mid-way through our trip. Looking forward to doing it again in the winter.

Chad's Boston Mission Trip

Chad just returned from his first short-term mission trip with North Hills Church. About 30 teens, sophomores to seniors went to south Boston to bless the inner city people there. For eight days they helped fix up their host church, conducted outreaches for the inner city children, visited nursing homes, prayed with homeless people on the streets, and spent one day sight-seeing! They spent Fourth of July at the Boston Pops Extravaganza conducting an outreach and enjoying the fireworks and orchestra. Chad said it was an amazing experience and he loved every minute of it.

A group of amazing teens! Chad's in the back, center with the white Boston hat.

This is the host church, Christ the Rock. Chad said it really needed a lot of fixing up on the inside.

Garbonics.

Chad's at the end in the white Boston hat again. They performed at the youth service and at one of the outreaches.

Glad I didn't see this photo til after he got home!

A little too close to the rail, I'd say.

So glad to have him home...
