Chad went to Homecoming at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. He asked Lauren, who he's known since preschool. Chad and his two buddies got together and made a huge cookie and attached a photo of him and Lauren when they were in kindergarten together. He brought the cookie to her and asked her to the dance. She said yes, and it was so fun going through the whole thing about what to wear, getting colors to match, flowers, etc. Fun memories for Bobby and I. They had dinner with a large group at another boy's house, then off to Long Beach for a great time. High school is in full swing!
While it doesn't seem possible that I am about to hit a milestone, that big day is indeed right around the corner. Three-hundred days from today, January 5, 2012, I will turn 50. There. I said it. I know I will wake up on October 30, 2012 somewhat bummed to realize that I must say good-bye to my beloved 40's. I figure if I blog this adventure, I'll be held accountable for my hopes, dreams, and ambitions. I'm not quite sure what this journey will look like, only that I want it to be a journey of love, dedication and inspiration. I have physical and spiritual goals, and I'd love the support of others over the next 300 days.
