Christmas Card 2010

Christmas 2010...
Top photo: Mammoth trip. See August 2010 blog.
Second photo: Bobby and Criss celebrate their 20th anniversary. See April 2010 blog.
The third photo on our Christmas card is Chad, our 17 year old high school junior. Such a busy year for him. Driver's license, volleyball, basketball, SAT, ACT, visiting colleges, leadership team at church, media tech, missions trip...
The last photo is Kevin, our 14 year old high school freshman! Kevin loves finally being in high school. He's busy with water polo, swim, youth group, and he went on his first mission trip this summer.
We are excited for all the festivities of the season, and as we finalize all the preparations, we are mindful of the true meaning of Christmas, and we wish all our family and friends a most blessed holiday.

Chad's New Truck

On July 27, 2010 we finally let Chad get his driver's license, five weeks shy of his 17th birthday. That way he'd get to drive a little in the summer. In October, without telling the boys, Bobby ended up buying a new truck, so we surprised Chad with Bobby's old 1997 Ford F-150. He was so excited and completely shocked. I think the frustration of having to wait to get his license was gone once he realized he'd have his own wheels.

Chad's 17th Birthday at Del Mar

Chad woke up to a message in the street...
...and a sign at the high school!

Downstairs he was welcomed with presents, balloons,
and silly stuff for the car ride to Del Mar!

I know these look real,
but the mustaches were in the buckets.

First time for the boys at the horse races...

20 minutes to post!

All my teenage boys!

The funnel cake came after the:
Tacos, Corn Dogs, Garlic Fries, Hawaiian Ice, Licorice, etc...
Gross.

It's good luck to take a picture with the mascot!

Kevin and I studying the racing form.

Chad actually won this race!

Back home after a long day.
His favorite cake: Banana Chocolate Chip, No frosting.
The boys spent the night and had so much fun.
Happy Birthday, Chad. We love you so much.

Mammoth 2010

Fishing, fishing, fishing...

Kev caught the first fish.

Dinner the first night at the Mogul, where Bobby used to work when he lived in Mammoth.

Kev catching another one... he was amazing whether from the shore or from the boat.

Yeah! Chad's turn!

Woo Hoo!

My hero

Dinner at Burgers... OMGsh!

Apples to Apples... so funny!

Funniest game ever!

We fished every day! Kev was hiding in his own little cove just pulling in the fish!

Kev loved kayaking!

Chad and Mom kayaking Twin Lakes

Heaven...

Steaks and games with the Stoerck's and Pennock's.

Time for fishing... Daylight's burning!

Carrie, Criss, and Anne at Mammothfest. Waiting to see Train!

Tom & Annie, John & Carrie, Bobby & Criss
The kids are all up front!

Train concert so amazing!
Especially in the mountain setting!

From Kelsey's camera!
This was our first time back to Mammoth in probably 10 years. So special to Bobby since he used to live there. Amazing vacation. We can't wait to go back. Kevin said it was better than Hawaii. Wow! I think it's because he caught the most fish!
